Help

If you're trying to figure out how to use the site, I promise it's easier to just start playing with it. Log in, go to a page, change it, and see what happens. This page, like all others on this wiki, can be edited. If you think there's something that would help other students, feel free to add it -- just click edit at the top of the page!

How to get around this site

You need to log in to do much on this site. Your username and password are both your school code -- something like cp10887. Once you're logged in, you can get around by clicking links on pages.

When you want to make a new page, you can either just click the link in the menu that says, "Add a wiki page," or you can make a link to a page you wish existed. Click this link, and the site will make a new page for you!

How to edit pages

When you go to a page you want to change, just click edit up at the top (if you're logged in), and you'll be able to change the page. Don't worry; every change is saved, so even if you mess up a page, your teacher can fix it. At the same time, remember that your teacher can see who wrote everything on the site. Make good choices.

Each time you edit a page, it's saved as a new revision to the page. You'll see all the people who have changed a page in a list in the left column. When you make a little revision, like fixing a typo or rearranging the page, you don't need to add a revision log message. But when you make a significant revision (one you want to get credit for), you need to add a message to the revision log, so everyone knows what you changed. Here are some examples of good log messages:

  • I created this page because I keep noticing bracelets coming up.
  • I added a new passage where bracelets come up
  • I made a link from this page to the page about keys. Seems like bracelets and keys are connected somehow
  • I added my thoughts about what the bracelets mean to this page.
