We frequently see people trying to put together the parts of their lives into wholes that feel complete.

Oskar thinks about "Googolplex," which makes one think of Google, a search engine for browsing the contents the internet (39). Oskar actually uses Google on page 41. Like Oskar states, Google searches can be overwhelming. They come back with plenty of results, but they make the world seem more broken up than whole. The results often have nothing to do with each other, and don't ultimately satisfy the feeling that led you to ask the question.
